In addition to the successful, "Arrow" and "Flash," DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" the pilot for the spinoff has just been ordered, reports TV Line. "When heroes alone are not enough... the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-travelling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat - one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known? The cast includes Victor Garber (The Flash); Brandon Routh (Arrow); Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who); Caity Lotz (Arrow); Dominic Purcell (The Flash) and Wentworth Miller (The Flash). Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter are the EPs." The new show is designed to be a superhero-team up that will include stars from both "The Flash" and "Arrow." With the release of the official synopsis, fans have a better understanding of how the series will shape up. With a time-travel twist, it makes it possible for Sara Lance to reprise her role as the Black Canary and allow other established hero characters like Ciara Renee's Hawkgirl to appear, noted Screen Rant. However, what does remain unclear is the role of Franz Drameh's character. There are two possibilities, he could be a new character or be Wally West or the second Flash According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pilot has yet to be filmed and was ordered by The CW sight unseen. The series is a product of Bonanza Productions, Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. TV with Berlanti, Guggenheim, Kreisberg and Schechter as executive producers. The CW's Upfront presentation is set for next Thursday and more will be revealed including the air schedule of "Legends of Tomorrow." The new show is expected to premiere on The CW sometime during early 2016. It's a great time for comic book fans as more and more hero-based series are hitting the air waves, shared EW. Warner Bros. currently holds a nuber of titles that include "Arrow," "The Flash," "Supergirl," "iZombie," and "Gotham." While over at Marvel, ABC has "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" and Netflix has picked up "Daredevil," "Jessica Jones," Luke Cage," "Iron Fist" and "The Defenders." What do you think of the upcoming series?
