Ibinabo’s shocking story on her journey to prison...(didn't go well)

Since the incident happened, I have learnt how not to trust anybody any more. I put my trust now in the Lord. And this is better explained in the new song I recorded. The music captures my story. Emotionally, I have been drained and to some extent humiliated, even in public...I wasn’t happy that I was involved in that accident. I have said it over and over again that I’m deeply sorry that it ever happened. I don’t know how else to atone for the accident. I started begging my victim’s family from the very day the accident happened. My family attended the funeral rites and service of songs and I even attended the 40 days prayer when I was strong enough to move about. I met with the mother and the wife of the deceased. There’s virtually nothing I didn’t do to plead with the family of the deceased to let me off the hook. I’m still pleading with them as I speak with you right now.” With this heart-rending statement Ibinabo Fiberesima broke down in tears after she was released from Kirikiri prison in 2009. It was same again Friday last week, as the appellate court dismissed her appeal and affirmed the High Court’s judgement, which sentenced her to five years imprisonment for manslaughter

ibinabo.jpg

She was convicted following the death of a Lagos- based medical doctor, Dr Giwa Suraj, whom she killed in an auto accident along Lekki–Epe expressway, Lagos. However, seven years after she had that horrible experience, the ex-beauty queen and incumbent president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,AGN, is back to face the music. When the news of her conviction went viral on the internet, even her enemies wept for her. But despite the odds, the good thing is that Ibinabo has come to accept her fate, even as she said, she’s always praying for the family of her accident victim, Dr. Giwa Suraj. Apparently, since the judgement was delivered, it has been greeted with an outpouring of emotion, pain and regrets on the part of Ibinabo’s colleagues. Following her ordeal, major stakeholders in Nollywood refused to last Saturday as they met somewhere in Surulere, to fine-tune plans to mobilize A-list actors and actresses prior to prevailing on the Lagos State government as well as the family of the late Dr Giwa Suraj to temper justice with mercy. The practitioners, including Mr. Zik Zulu Okafor, Mr Raph Nwadike, Directors Guild of Nigeria, DGN, president-elect, Fred Amata, veteran film maker, Zeb Ejiro, Segun Arinze, Felix Duker, Ifeanyi Dike, Yakubu Mohammed,Mike Iliam among others equally stormed Kirikiri prison the following day to show their solidarity with the incarcerated actress. While at the Kirikiri prison, emotion pervaded the vicinity as the movie stars took turns to see the actress seated in a small waiting room. Looking depressed and in low spirit, once cheerful Ibinabo expressed faith in God that the days of storms would soon be over. Her look confirmed one thing and that’s there is nothing that rends the heart, that ruins a life so quickly as being shut out of the world. But while she was trying to hide her emotion, other female inmates were busy having fun, as they kept shouting and waving at some of the popular Nollywood faces who were at the prison. Ibinabo’s lawyer was among the early birds at the prison. He disclosed that he would be heading to the Supreme court, on Monday, to apply for stay of execution of the jail sentence, even as Ibinabo’s son, Sean Liam Coughlan Saturday, urged Nigerians to pray for his mother. He described Ibinabo as the “most humble woman I know, I was not aware she was a celebrity until I was about 14 and that’s only because my uncle told me. She does not see herself or act as if she is above any other person.” My relationship with my accident victim’s family Meanwhile, a week before she was convicted, the actress painted a clear picture of the kind of relationship that was existing between the family of the deceased and herself. Speaking with Showtime Celebrity, Ibinabo revealed that the late Dr. Suraj’s family banned her from coming to visit them. According to her, “I don’t have a relationship with the family. They banned me from coming to see them. I used to visit the mother, but they warned me to stop coming to their house. So, I can only pray for them and that’s what I did always.” Asked if she has ever tried to send the family goodwill messages, the actress replied, “If I had their GSM lines, I would have sent them messages. But like I said earlier, I was banned from visiting them. They said I should not dare get close to them.” Also recounting what led to her present predicament, Ibinabo revealed that part of the condition for granting her bail in 2009, was that she should appeal the decision of the High Court, which sentenced her to five years in imprisonment. When I was granted bail, the condition for granting the bail was that I should challenge the jail term slammed on me by the High Court, and urge the court to restore the decision of the Magistrate Court which fined N100,000 and I paid. And the appeal was only heard in January, that’s all. The case was between Lagos State government and I,” Ibinabo recounted. Second journey to Kirikiri prison Surprisingly, the appellate court, Friday last week dismissed her appeal as it affirmed the High Court’s judgement. Devastated by this development, the embattled actress broke down and wept like a baby as she was led out of the court after the judge ordered that she should be sent to Kirikiri for the second time. Painful also was the fact that she was on her way to Port Harcourt when she got a call ordering her to turn back and present herself in court, unknown to her that it would be the beginning of her second journey to Kirikiri prison. I’m still AGN president Ibinabo also addressed some of the burning issues affecting the smooth running of the actors’ body. According to her, while she was away, they freezed the guild’s bank account, making it almost impossible for the leadership of the guild to draw money for their health insurance scheme. She debunked the insinuation that she abandoned her office following the High court ruling that sacked her as the president of the guild, maintaining that she’s still the incumbent president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. Explaining why she has been away for some time now,the first AGN female president said it was as a result of health challenges. She revealed that she travelled abroad for medical test and they discovered a lump in her breast which has been removed. Speaking further, she said, “the welfare of my members comes before any other thing. We must continue to push on our health insurance scheme for our members. I have my own health challenges too. I went for a test and they found a growth- a lump in my breasts which I had to remove. So, if we don’t do these tests continuously anything can happen. We usually take our lives for granted. You must continue to go for routine medical examinations. That’s what AGN is all about. We are here to ensure that our members are properly taken care of. We can’t get our money in the bank to pay for our health insurance because they froze the account. I opened the account before the case started.” “We are back on track and everything is beginning to happen again. From next week, we would start touring all the states with a free computerized eye screening exercise for all members. We are getting back to our rhythm after all the distractions. “Our members are the ones that have suffered. I think it is time we helped them and pay attention to them. We have lost a lot of our members to death recently. It is very painful because we have not been able to pay for insurance scheme following the crises in the guild." However, following the prolonged crisis rocking the actors' body, Ibinabo lamented a situation where aggrieved members of the Guild would refer to her prison ordeal each time they want to attack her. " Every time they want to throw things at me, they would bring it up. I didn't steal anybody's money snd I am not a criminal. I was involved in an accident and I have internally remained sorry that it happened. They said I am going to jail again. I almost died the first time I was sent to jail in 2009. I almost committed suicide. But thank God that He brought me out of that depression," she lamented. Miss Earth Palaver On the recent legal action instituted against her by former Miss Earth, Ibinabo dismissed the beauty queens claims that she was not paid for three months prior to the expiration of her tenure. Explaining, she said, “I run a company and a girl signed a contact with the company. She goes to represent Nigeria in Philippines. There is this thing about beauty queens after coming back from international pageant, they are already superstars. This was the case with Miss Earth. It wasn’t me, it was the company because we have people assigned to different things. But they couldn’t reach her, they sent her text messages, they e-mailed her but when it is time to collect her salary, it’s automatic. This is like three months to the end of her reign. We couldn’t reach her. She said she was at University of Port-Harcourt and we went there but she wasn’t there . So, they removed her and put the girl that came second in the competition to complete her reign. The next thing I heard was that I was being sued. She said we didn’t give her the money for three months to the end of her reign. I hit a lawyer from Port-Harcourt, then called WAZOBIA and asked her to tell her story, but she refused to talk. My lawyer said he didn’t understand what they were suing me for. She signed contract with a company, not with Ibinabo, so they should remove my name because I had nothing as a person to do with it. But the judge refused so my lawyer appealed that until they remove my name this case will not go on. An appeal is still pending on why my name shouldn’t be in the suit before the judge hurriedly gave judgement,”

Baby girl sold for N500,000 in Onitsha

Akure— For buying a baby from a 17-year-old mother, a couple, Mr and Mrs Sunday Kalu, and three child traffickers, are presently cooling their feet at the Criminal Investigation Department of Ondo State Police Command. The young mother, Tessy Obianua, Vanguard gathered, was allegedly impregnated by one Shola. But she later eloped with Jude, her parents’ neighbour in Ogbese, Ondo State, to Onitsha. Police source said the baby’s grandfather, Mr. Henry Obianua, forwarded a petition to the command that her daughter was impregnated by an unknown person who eloped with her. Obianua alleged that her daughter ran away with the pregnancy in January 2015 and re-appeared in May last year without the baby or the pregnancy. The daughter was said to have confessed that Jude, who was their neighbour at Ogbese camp, took her away to Onisha where she was delivered of a baby girl. She confided in her uncle that the baby was sold to a couple in Onisha for half a million naira and that she was forced to sign an undertaking that she would never come back to reclaim the baby. Detectives from the state Police Command traced the buyer of the baby to Onitsha and the alleged trafficker, Mrs Chibuzor Okoye of 3, Tonny Olisaa Street, Awada, in Onitsha, was arrested. The couple, who were later arrested at their 8, Uzogwu Street, Onitsha, claimed they gave N200,000 out of the money to Jude to buy clothes and shoes for the mother of the baby,

HOTEL- TRANSYLVANIA.

On one special weekend, Dracula invites creatures like the Invisible Man (David Spade), an ancient Mummy (CeeLo Green) and others to celebrate the 118th birthday of his daughter, Mavis (Selena Gomez). DAREdevil.

charlie-cox-daredevil.jpg Daredevil season two starts on Netflix on 18 March (Netflix). When Daredevil's first season debuted on Netflix back in April 2015, it was evident that Marvel was trying to redeem itself after Fox's film flop featuring the same characters. Luckily for them, Netflix's reboot of Matt Murdock is daringly dark and impressive in comparison and is more than worth a watch, particularly as the hotly-anticipated season two was uploaded in its entirety today (18 March). Set in a ruined New York after the events in Avengers Assemble, the story in season one revolves around Murdock, a lawyer whose blindness has led him to possess superhuman strengths in all of his remaining senses. With an ever-growing desire to make his city a better place, he begins fighting underground criminals under the guise of superhero Daredevil using his knowledge of the law to help him along the way. The series looks realistic with hardly any special effects used, concentrating heavily on a martial arts style when it comes to the fight scenes. Its pseudo-realism is perfectly executed and creates a balance between believable crime and exciting moments of comic book wonder. It is wham, bam, punch kind of stuff but strictly for adults and it works incredibly well. Expect to see the exciting introduction of comic book characters The Punisher and Elektra in the second season.

How twin suicide bombers killed 22 worshipers at Borno mosque

MAIDUGURI—No fewer than 22 worshipers, including the bombers, were killed in yesterday’s early morning twin suicide bombing at Molai-Umarari village, behind the Molai Hospital, on the outskirts of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

mosque-attacks.jpg

File: Blood-stained carpets are seen in the central mosque in northern Nigeria's largest city of Kano on November 29, 2014, a day after twin suicide blasts hit the mosque during weekly Friday prayers. At least 120 people were killed and 270 others wounded when two suicide bombers blew themselves up and gunmen opened fire during weekly prayers at the mosque, a week after the emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, of one of Nigeria's top Islamic leaders called on northerners to defend themselves against Boko Haram Islamists that have been carrying out deadly attacks and seizure of territory in the northeast. AFP PHOTO How twin suicide bombers killed 22 worshipers at Borno mosque

Molai lies on the fringes of Sambisa Forest on Maiduguri - Damboa - Biu Road.

Several other persons were also injured in the blast that occurred less than 24 hours after dozens of terrorists and two soldiers lost their lives in an encounter along Maiduguri - Damboa - Biu road on Tuesday.

Reacting, President Muhammadu Buhari said he was angry over the news of latest cruel attacks on a mosque in Maiduguri, Borno State, describing the Boko Haram, perpetrators, as a group of mindless and godless people.

A tweet on the handle of the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu yesterday, said the president was “dismayed”. The president, however, reiterated the resolve of his government to protect the country and its people. The fresh attack on Molai-Ummarari village was said to have occurred at about 5am during the Muslim early morning prayers.

Another source told Vanguard that the death toll would have been less, but for residents who rushed to the scene of the blast to help the injured after the first bomb exploded.

A second bomber was said to have sneaked into the crowd to detonate another explosive that left more people dead and scores others injured.

It was gathered that the dead and the injured had been evacuated to hospitals in Maiduguri metropolis and no one has claimed responsibility yet.

Confirming the blast, Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, said: ‘’This is to confirm that there were twin bomb attacks carried out by two female carriers at Ummarari village, near Molai, on the outskirts of Maiduguri metropolis, Borno State, this morning (yesterday).

He said: ‘’The first attack targeted a mosque, while the second blast, about 50 metres away, set off a few minutes later. Sadly, 22 people were killed and 18 others sustained various degrees of injuries.

’While we commiserate with the families of the victims of this dastardly act, we wish to reassure the public that we would continue to rout the remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists wherever they may be hiding.''

the unending contest over JAMB’s CB tests..(must read)

jambites.jpg

Scores of Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) candidates and members of Association of Tutorial School Owners of Nigeria, have protested in Lagos and Ilorin over allegations of shoddy conduct of the recent JAMB examinations which led to the failure of some candidates for no fault of theirs.

Jambed: Students from different parts of Lagos State, on the platform of Association of Tutorial Colleges of Nigeria, protesting the results of Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB's Computer-Based Test, CBT, at Lagos State House of Assembly, yesterday. Photo: Bunmi Azeez.

jambites.jpg

"Dibu must go. Dibu must never return to JAMB again. Dibu give me my result. I don’t want extra 40 marks, Dibu, give me my real result. Dibu, you cannot toy with our future, release my results. You are too old to lead the Board at 71.’’ Those were some of the words written on placards which hundreds of JAMB candidates carried on Tuesday at the State House of Assembly, Alausa, Lagos State.

The frustrated JAMB candidates had gathered in a peaceful protest at Maryland around 8am and marched to the House of Assembly, chanting, ‘’Dibu must go.’’ The protesters said their choice of the House of Assembly as focal point, is to enable the law makers convey their plight to the federal government. At the protest which was monitored by Vanguard, candidates alleged that the JAMB registrar, Professor Dibu Ojerinde, had added and deducted scores of candidates at his discretion.

(scores_before_the_examination) According to them, some candidates who sat for the examination on April 27 and 29 when JAMB was test running the system, had low scores which was later upgraded by adding 40 marks.

They said that despite of the 40 marks, their scores were below 200. Some others complaints that the results they earlier received were withdrawn and replaced with another. While some others have not received their results till date.

One of the protesters added; "He added 40 marks in the first week and deducted 100 marks in the following.” They also alleged that there were cases where some students received scores before writing the examination.

Discrepancies: Reacting during the protest, Kalejaiye Joshua, one of the protesters disclosed that while he was writing the exams, the server went off about three times. He said: "When the result came out my English was 37, Mathematics, which I am not good at, I got 47. My total score was 220, but when I went to print it out, I saw 164, what happened? It is unfair and not good. I spent eight hours travelling to Igbajo Polythenic, in Osun state from Ketu, Lagos.’’

Bankole Oluwapelumi, who did his exams last Tuesday, is yet to get his results which were supposed to be made available 24 hours after the exam."JAMB initially sent me 170 through text message, but when I went to the cyber cafe to check the the result, it indicated no result. Even the day I went to my centre at Noble Star, Aga, Ikorodu, we were told that the centre has been changed to Ojokoro, Agric without prior notice." Long hours of reading Temitayo Akindele, on her part said: "I read very well for this exam. I am an Arts student, and when it comes to English and Government, I am very good but Maths am not good. However, my result in Maths was the highest, am sure the computer deducted 100 marks from me. That is what I think.

"Last year, I scored 239, and I didn’t prepare for it. But this year, sleepless night and long hours of reading, I got 194. I’m not dull or daft. I don’t want their 40 marks. I want my real result.’’

Olamide, who wrote her examination on February 27 in Osun State, said: "The score that was sent to my phone on Sunday morning after my examination on Saturday was 159, but when I went to check it on Tuesday, it became 199. ‘’The mark is not mine, because I wrote better than that score. UNILAG is my first choice and cannot accept less than 200."

Okoro Cherish Chisom said: "Though, I registered in Lagos, I was sent to OAU, Osun state to write the exam without complain. I spent a lot of money for transport, lodging and feeding. While writing the exam, my system went off four times. As a prospecting law student of UNILAG, I knew what I wrote. I checked my score on line and I saw 219, for what? When I wrote jamb last year, I scored 237, and this year 219. I know my worth and what am capable of doing."

It's a sham — Association of National Tutorial School Operators On his part, National Public Relations Officer, of Association of National Tutorial School Operators in Nigeria, Prince Adewale Idowu, described the whole Jamb exam as a sham, adding that it is nothing to write home about.

”JAMB cannot be testing system at the expense of future of the students. JAMB told us it would start exams on February 29 and test the systems on February 27. You are testing the system with student’s future?

"As a result, candidates had to write the exams while testing was going on. Later, after the Examinations and poor results released, JAMB added 40 marks. On what parameter or context did they do that? Professor Ojerinde should be removed, he is too old at 71 to lead the Board."

Different scores: Also, a member of Tutorial School Owners Association of Nigeria based in Ilorin and spokesman for the protesters, Mr Olawuyi Olufemi, told journalists in an interview that to their dismay, complaints from the affected candidates and their parents indicates that they received different scores in text messages and printout, which reduced in most cases, their scores by at least 40marks.

Olufemi also gave graphic details of how computer malfunctions and poor loading of questions and instructions cheated many candidates of their hard earned success as the questions were not properly loaded,so they could not be answered on time and therefore caused them to fail woefully.

He also said that though their jobs end at training candidates for successful performance in JAMB examinations, they had to join the protest to bring the matter to the attention of the government, more importantly, when they are being asked by the parents to refund money they paid for training the candidates. Appeal to FG: In view of this development, the protesters urged the Federal Government to wade in and compel JAMB to give affected candidates their real scores to enable them gain admission.

Protest being sponsored —JAMB Meanwhile, having gotten first hand information of the candidates’ protest, the Head of Media, JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, on Monday night in a release said: "The protests are being sponsored by some proprietors whose examination centres were lacking in all the indices needed for a successful Computer Based Test (CBT) examination.’’ Benjamin, who described the protest as sponsored, said the worst CBT is far better than the best paper and pencil test.

His words: “The attention of the Board has been drawn to a planned protest tomorrow, (Tuesday) in Lagos over the Board’s activities by individuals who call themselves education consultants. JAMB has called for calm and advised candidates to always avail themselves the opportunity provided by the board through its public complaints unit to vent their grievances and not to allow blackmailers use them for selfish interest.

“The Board had approved centres provided by these individuals to be used for the 2016 exercise, but unfortunately couldn’t as the centres were found to be lacking in all the indices needed for a successful CBT examination. This was discussed with these proprietors and they showed understanding as they witnessed the difficulties the Board went through to run even a session in their centres."

Stakeholders disagree on 11 yrs for medical students

LAGOS — Stakeholders in education sector have reacted to plans by the National Universities Commission, NUC, to increase duration of medical students from six to 11 years, saying the development was expensive, discouraging and will lead to dearth of medical doctors in Nigeria.

Reacting to this, Deputy Director, Distance Learning Institute, DLI, University of Ibadan, Professor Oyesoji Aremu, said: “The announcement of NUC that medical students would have to spend 11 years for medical education appears too much a year to be spent in medical schools.”

Explaining the negative impact on the students, parents, profession and the nation, Aremu said it would affect the number of candidates that would henceforth seek to study medicine.

he said the health sector might witness a dearth of medical personnel in the country which would have serious effects on Nigerians.

According to him, it will take an average of 29 years for an individual to be a medical student, provided he/ she enters university at the age of 17.

also reacting, Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Calabar, UNICAL, Professor Florence Banku-Obi, said: "NUC just made a statement that has not been backed up by any policy. No policy or curriculum to guide them on that."

She said what the NUC could have done was to break the 11 years into two, adding that students should be given the opportunity to graduate in the first phase and continue after their first degree to read medicine. Using Ghana as a case study, Banku-Obi said: “In Ghana, for you to read medicine, you must have your first degree and get matured. If it is the maturity the NUC is looking at, they should draw a plan of a first degree, which could be terminal to enable them look for job if they want to discontinue. Also, if anyone wants to continue medical studies, he can now continue to read medicine."

The metahuman of the week is nick name Turtle. A thief who has the ability to slow down everyone and everything including The Flash to take whatever he wants. He is also someone Cisco has tracked for months. His power can be use to counter Zoom’s speed. Unfortunately the Turtle also has an effect on the entire episode. Not until the last ten minutes did the pace pick up. vlcsnap-2016-01-19-22h15m.jpg The episode starts with Barry Allen awaken from a nightmare where Zoom snatched up Patty and hurling her off a tall building. Apparently, this nightmare is a regular occurrence for Barry. While the couple could not talk about it, Patty sought advice from Iris instead. Iris in turn tell Barry to come clean with Patty. Despite Dr. Wells warning against it, Barry is going ahead with the plan. What better place to do that than bringing Patty to a gala hosted in a museum while catching the Turtle in action right? Wrong! As the couple were dancing cheek to cheek, Barry sported the Turtle, ditching her in haste, leaving her momentarily confronting Turtle by herself. That was enough time for Turtle to get Patty’s gun, aiming at the chandelier above the hall and dropping it on her. (I’m not sure about you, that very moment Sia ear worm of a single was looping in my head.) The Flash watch in horror as the chandelier come crashing down towards Patty. He barely make it, saving Patty and escape major injury himself. Turtle was able to pick up their relationship within the short exchange between Flash and Patty. (I suppose if you have his slow mo power, it’s like watching one long soap opera.) vlcsnap-2016-01-19-22h18m.jpg Back at her place, Patty was not please being abandon by Barry Allen in the middle of the date leaving her alone almost got crushed by a chandelier. While waiting for Barry, she was nervously staring at an envelope address to her from Midway University of Forensic Sciences. Barry show up with zero excuse, passing yet another opportunity to come clean with her. Shortly after Barry left, a knocked at the door had her thinking it was Barry returning instead it was Turtle. He is none too pleased with The Flash repeatedly interfering his heist. The nightmare of Barry Allen come through in the form of creepier Turtle. Like a serial killer, Turtle had his ex-wife taxidermied in a glass closet display and he is about to do the same to Patty to teach Flash a lesson. Team Flash came through with the place where Patty is kept hostage in the nick of time. Flash managed to take down Turtle on a second attempt by increasing his super speed and taking advantage of interval time of the slow mo power Team Flash calibrated to break through the barrier. Still no coming out to Patty despite twice live saving moment. Just as well, Patty has decided to return to school to get her forensic science degree at Midway University, leaving Barry and Central City all together. In other development, Father and son Joe West and Wally West are having difficulty bonding. Caitlin Snow found out Jay Garrick is dying unless he can get his speed back from Zoom. Dr. Wells in desperation to rescue his daughter from Zoom, extract the power from Turtle by force that saw the metahuman lay dead in the cell at Star Labs. The end scene show the return of a confuse Reverse Flash arriving on a residential street. So what do you think of the episode?

‘The Flash’ Season 2 Spoilers: Barry Allen Is Imprisoned In The Pipeline In Episode 16?

the-flash-3.jpg New spoilers for "The Flash" season two hinted Earth-2 Dr. Harrison Wells will temporarily imprison Barry Allen in the pipeline so he can make a deal with the mysterious female speedster in episode 16. (Photo : The CW/The Flash's Official Facebook Page) The CW recently released new promotional images for " The Flash " season two, episode 16 and the photos revealed that Barry Allen is going to be imprisoned in the pipeline. SpoilerTV reported that promotional photos showed Barry in his Flash costume standing in a cell in the pipeline at S.T.A.R. Labs. The new promotional images for episode 16 also hinted that the mysterious female speedster Trajectory is going to attack S.T.A.R. Labs, but Earth-2. Dr. Harrison Wells is going to make a deal with her in order to save Team Flash. It is possible that Trajectory is looking for something in S.T.A.R. Labs and Barry refused to give her the item. After all, the official promotional trailer for "Trajectory" hinted that Barry is angry that the new speedster pretended to be the Flash and turned to petty theft in order to destroy his reputation with the citizens of Central City. Perhaps Dr. Wells decided to temporarily imprison Barry so he could lure Trajectory in and then makes a deal with her so she will leave Central City for good. Aside from the new promotional images, TVLine reported that there is a good chance Patty Spivot will return in " The Flash " season two. " The Flash " executive producer Andrew Kreisberg pointed out that even though actress Shantel VanSanten landed a role in USA Network pilot "Shooter," fans haven't seen the last of Barry's ex-girlfriend. "We have not seen the last of Patty," he explained. "We very consciously did not kill her." It is possible that even though USA Networks ordered a full series of "Shooter," VanSanten will be able to make a cameo appearance on " The Flash " and Patty will return to help Barry take down Zoom in the season finale. " The Flash " will return on Tuesday, March 22, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW. Keep checking back with Fashion&Style for the latest news about " The Flash " season two.

ZOOM.

zoom.jpg Episode 16 in Season 2 of “The Flash” will finally have Barry Allen learning the real identity of Zoom. The next episode, which does not air until March 22, will bring a sense of déjà vu for Barry since he has been in the same path of betrayal before. Episode 16 in Season 2 of “The Flash” takes off where Episode 15 ended, with Zoom’s identity finally revealed. Jay Garrick’s face, a.k.a. Flash from Earth 2, was revealed behind the Zoom mask. In Episode 16 titled “Trajectory,” Barry Allen will finally know who the abominable Zoom is. However, knowing the villain’s identity will be another emotional rollercoaster for Barry Allen, according to “The Flash” star Grant Gustin . In an interview with Entertainment Weekly , Gustin said Barry will feel betrayed again after he learns that Hunter Zolomon or Zoom is also Earth 2’s Jay Garrick. Barry will start to question his own capability in deciphering the truth in people’s identities. “It’s betrayal and disappointment in himself, because it’s almost like he’s been through this before, and he can’t believe he let himself go through it again,” Gustin told Entertainment Weekly. This is not the first time the theme of betrayal has become a point of self-realization and somewhat of an emotional trigger for Barry Allen. Season 1 of “The Flash” also bordered around betrayal. Eobard Thawne disguised as Harrison Wells from Earth 1 was all along planning to kill Barry while pretending to be his mentor and ally. Learning about Well’s selfish motive in helping Flash get more speed only brought more emotional trauma for Barry, especially when he learned that Wells was involved with the death of his mother. Episode 16 in Season 2 of “The Flash” will bring an even “larger betrayal” than Season 1, according to “The Flash” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. In a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly , he revealed that “Trajectory” in some ways will have “The Flash” team “feel like they should’ve been inoculated against it already.” Kreisberg said Episode 16 somehow revolves around the saying, “Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.”
